My Top Ten Favorite Elf Products!!

I thought I'd start my first blog off with a BANG for your buck! Yes, that tiny little display at your local drugstore with the insanely affordable products has really stepped up there game in the more recent years. I remember about 10 years ago buying my first elf product, I needed a eyelash curler fast and cheap so I grabbed one from the elf display and loved it! Fast forward years later and Elf cosmetics has really blown up and created quite a buzz for their great quality products at a price everyone can afford. I have been so pleasantly surprised at how amazing some of there products are, I decided why not share my top 10 faves so you guys can go try them out for yourself!

       πŸ’— Elf Contour Palette: $6.00

I absolutely love this palette! I decided to order it on a whim one day while browsing the Elf website, I haven't had much luck finding a good contour at the drugstore but this a great option if you don't want to fork out the 40 bucks for the Anastacia contour kit (which lets face it, its bomb) but you still want those nice defined cheeks. Id definitely recommend this if you are a beginner at contouring and for 6 bucks? You cant beat that!

                                                              πŸ’— Elf Blush Palette: $6.00

This is a very pigmented blush palette, great for any look your trying to achieve. The blushes are easy to blend and give a nice soft flush of color to the cheeks. It features a pretty pink shade, a mauve shade, a beautiful coral color and a darker toned shade that will compliment all skin tones.

πŸ’— Elf Mist and Set setting spray: $3.00

I use this everyday to spray my brushes for ultimate shadow pigmentation and it works so well. I will say,  I like it better as a dupe to mac fix plus than a actual all over setting spray for myself, but if you are on a budget and in need of a setting spray that will do the job, this it it!

                                                               πŸ’— Elf Eye Primer: $2.00

Okay, so I know what you're probably thinking. This eyeshadow primer couldn't possibly work well for only 2 bucks? Well, I'm here to tell you it can! This has been my go to eye lid primer for years when I didn't want to splurge on the urban decay primer potion but still needed a good primer to make my eyeshadows pop and not crease. Its not too watery which Ive found to be the case in a lot of drugstore primers, keeps your shadows from creasing and comes in 2 shades. I have recently started using the Too Faced shadow insurance but find myself still reaching for this one! On a budget but still want a eye look that will stay all day? Look no further!

                                                          πŸ’— Elf Smudge Pots: $3.00

Smooth, pigmented crΓ¨me shadows that are so easy to apply and work great as a base for your eyeshadow. These remind me a lot of the Maybeline 24 hour tattoo eyeshadows which are my holy grail bases to intensify a powder shadow, but these are half the price! They have a beautiful color selection as well, my favorites at the moment are brownie points, cruising chic, and wine not.

πŸ’— Elf Baked Highlighter in Blush Gems: $4.00

If you're anything like me, you are obsessed with highlighters. I mean literally OBSESSED. There is just something about having that glow to your face that makes your makeup look flawless. This baked highlighter gives a soft glow if you just sweep it over the top of your cheeks or can be intensified by simply spraying your brush with a settting spray and voila! You've got a highlight that will make you glow to the gods!

πŸ’— Elf Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths: $3.00

I just recently picked these up and was pleasantly surprised at how you only needed one to remove all your makeup. If you are a makeup lover, I'm sure you all love switching your new makeup products on your hands. These are handy to keep around to clean off those hard to remove liquid lipstick swatches or waterproof mascaras.

πŸ’— Elf High Definition Undereye Setting Powder: $2.99

I had been searching for a affordable translucent under eye powder for a while and was hearing good reviews about this one so I decided why not try it? It claims to brighten your under eyes along with setting your concealer to prevent creasing and it did give a nice bright effect to under the eyes where I highlight. The only downfall is the pan is so small, its hard to pick up pigment and one jar went pretty fast for me, so I decided to try the coty airspun translucent powder for setting and baking. Now if your not into the whole "baking" trend and just need a good under eye brightener for under 5 bucks this one is a great option!

πŸ’— Elf Moisturizing Lipstick: $3.00

I know matte liquid lipsticks right now are all the rage, (believe me, I'm obsessed too) but sometimes I like a bit of a moisturizing lipstick on those more natural makeup days. This lipstick is a great option, not only is it creamy and moisturizing, but the pigmentation and color selection is awesome. They have everything from nudes, pinks. corals and berry shades. This is my personal favorite nude in the color party in the buff. Its so flattering and fun fact: if you twist off the bottom cap of the lipstick you have a nice gloss to put over or under it! Good job elf, you totally sold me with that!

πŸ’— Elf Brushes: prices vary from $1.00 to $6.00

Yes! I have saved the best for last! There are makeup products I just wont splurge on, and brushes is one of them. Once you have discovered that you can actually get good quality brushes for cheap, you will never spend unnecessary cash again on them. Elf are my all time favorite drugstore brushes, and wet n wild falls right behind them, but that's for a different blog! :) These 6 brushes I feel every girl should have in there collection. The first brush from the left is there studio line contour brush, the studio line angled blush brush and then the studio highlighting brush. All of these brushes are soft and don't shed hairs unlike some more expensive brushes I have used. The last 3 are the crease, blending and eyeshadow brushes from there regular line and they are only $1.00! I highly recommend you pick up one, two or all of them! I know I have!

Okay beauties, there you have it! My personal top ten Elf products I feel you should have in your life. Elf is sold at target, Walmart and some drugstores like Walgreens and CVS might have a small display. You can also order from there website which always has sales, random days of free shipping and free gifts with purchases. So run, don't walk, to your nearest target and find out for yourself how awesome Elf cosmetics really is! Thanks for reading and as always love yourself and do what you love! πŸ˜‰
